Course Overview
This course explains the fundamentals of the OpenText Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) application. The course is designed for beginners and describes ALM features, including defining requirements, designing and executing tests, creating defects, and generating reports and graphs using the dashboard.
Course Objectives
On completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Define ALM.
- Create releases and cycles and construct requirements.
- Analyze risks associated with requirements.
- Organize subjects and tests in a Test Plan tree.
- Design and create test plans.
- Generate test scripts from design steps.
- Create Test Sets.
- Execute manual tests.
- Record and track test execution results.
- Log and manage defects.
- Use version control to keep track of changes.
- Import and export from Microsoft Excel.
- Generate reports and graphs using the dashboard.

- Explain ALM as a software delivery platform.
- Explore the modules of the ALM platform.
- Create releases, cycles, requirements, and milestones.
- Plan and organize release activities.
- Create a test plan.
- Create and execute tests to validate features and ensure quality.
- Create and log defects.
- Utilize graphs and dashboard views to monitor project status and progress.
